There are special types of congenital vascular tumors that are often confused with hemangiomas. So-called RICH, NICH and PICH. Their naming is based on their growth behavior. In RICH (rapid involuting congential hemangioma) we see immediately after birth a strongly formed, therefore also congenitally named, hemangioma, which regresses rapidly. In the case of NICH (non involuting congenital hemangioma) we also see a pronounced hemangioma, which has typical characteristics, but almost does not regress at all and therefore usually has to be removed surgically. And the PICH (partialy involuting congenital hemangioma) as a mixed form of the two previously mentioned.
